IRIS-Corp Under the directives of Handicraft & Carpet Sector Skill Council (HCSSC) has organized training of the Assessor Program on 28th Feb, 2020 & 29th Feb, 2020 for the Professionals who desired to become Certified Field Assessor with Handicrafts & Carpet Sector Skill Council.

IRIS-Corp has provided a Training Premise, Practical Equipment, and Administrative Support during the training Program. Team of IRIS-Corp has also provided the orientation to the professionals on below–mentioned topics:

“Lead Training of Assessor” Program Organised by Healthcare Sector Skill Council

On 14th January 2020, Healthcare Skill Council organized the "Lead Training of Assessor" Program in New Delhi. Many Assessment Agencies nominated their candidates for this program to become a certified Field Assessor. The motive of the ToA Program was not only limited to certify the candidates as a Field Assessor but also help them to be well versed with the new Skill India Portal’s objectives, functionality and Quality Assurance in the assessment. Mr. Sanjay Kapoor, Director - IRIS-Corp, was also a part of the Training of Assessor Program and was invited by Healthcare Sector Skill Council to share his insight with the Field Assessors on "Why and How Quality Assurance in Assessment is maintained". Everyone at the program was highly motivated to hear from Mr. Sanjay Kapoor about his exposure and ideas to maintain Quality in Assessment. Capacity Building Workshop for the launch of PMKVY Aadhar Enabled Assessor App organised by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)

On 26th March 2019 NSDC launched a pilot phase of Aadhar Enabled Application Across 7 industry-specific Sector Skill Council i.e Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC), Electronics Sector Skill Council of India (ESSCI), Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (BWSSC), Agriculture Sector Skill Council of India (ASCI), Retailer’s Association Skill Council of India (RASCI), Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI), Apparel made ups and home furnishing sector skill council (AMHSSC) for Scheme PMKVY-Short Term Training (STT). NSDC asked Sector skill Councils to run STT scheme by using PMKVY Adhar enabled Application for continuous 8 months. IRIS-Corp as an affiliated Assessment agency with Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC), Electronics Sector Skill Council of India (ESSCI), Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (BWSSC) & Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI) got an opportunity to become a part of this initiative and prove ourself as best Service Provider.

Assessment Agencies Meet Organised by Construction Skill Development Council of India

On 20th Nov'19, Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDCI) organized the "Assessment Agencies Meet" in New Delhi. All the Assessment Agencies who are empaneled with CSDCI was invited to the meet. The chief guest of the event was Shri Raj Kumar Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State (IC) (Power, New & Renewable Energy) & Minister of State (Skill Development and Entrepreneurship).

Motive of the meet was to give recognition to best-performing assessment agencies of 2019 through an "Award Ceremony" and also have a discussion with the panel of industry experts from all the Assessment Agencies. The discussion panel was asked to give their inputs on the Challenges in Construction Skill Assessments & Its Probable Solutions and Best Practices in Competency-Based Assessments.

Mr. Sanjay Kapoor, Director - IRIS-Corp, was also part of the discussion panel and was highly appreciated by everyone at the meet for providing his views on Best Practices in Competency-Based Assessments. Everyone at the meet supports the ideas shared by Mr. Sanjay Kapoor and was confident to implement the same in the future.

Annual Award Ceremony Organized by Rubber Skill Development Council

On 21st November'19, Rubber Skill Development Council had organized Annual Award Ceremony in New Delhi to give recognition to Best Assessment Agency, Best Assessor, Best Training Provider, and Top 5 students to achieve Maximum Marks in the year 2018-19.
IRIS-Corp is pleased to share that one of our Field Assessors Mr. Rana Chakraborty from West Bengal has received the Best Assessor Award for his outstanding performance on the field. For the FY2018-19. It was such a delight moment for IRIS-Corp to receive the honor and is hopefull to contribute the same incoming future.
We also congratulate Mr. Rana Chakraborty for the contribution he has made in conducting the assessments for Rubber Industry. We wish him all the best for future endeavors and expect equal contribution towards Skill India.

Training of Trainers Programs

IRIS-Corp, under the directive of Beauty and Wellness Sector Skill Council, assessed and certified 50 trainers in Kolkata on 7th Aug, 2019 and 14th Aug, 2019. Assessment was conducted in two phases - Domain and Platform - for the job roles of Beauty Therapist, Assistant Beauty Therapist, Hair Stylist, and Assistant Hair Stylist. Trainers from several states, such as Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa, and West Bengal, participated in the assessment. Training of Trainers (ToT) program aims to develop delivery skills of those who wish to become trainers in the sectors of their choice and aligns them with National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) anchored at NSDA under the leadership of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India. IRIS-Corp assigned two Field Assessors each for Domain Assessment on 7th Aug, 2019 and Platform Assessment on 14th Aug, 2019. The exercise was challenging as it included conducting online assessment in multiple languages on the same day, assessing Domain and Practical knowledge of the Trainers, preparing result, and uploading it on SDMS. Ms. Taparna Roy, Senior Manager-Technical Training and Ms. Violet Goswami, Master Trainer from Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council visited the venue on the day of Domain Assessment and lauded IRIS-Corp team for its thorough planning and smooth execution of the exercise. IRIS-Corp is proud to contribute towards the Government’s vision to enhance skill of workers, thereby contributing to the progress of our country.

Assessment conducted for officers of State Bank of India

IRIS-Corp, along with Skill Council for Green Jobs (SCGJ), got an opportunity to train and assess 22 officers of State Bank of India on 29th Aug, 2019 in Pune. The objective of the 2-day training, organized by Skill Council for Green Jobs, was to familiarize participants with the technicalities of Solar Projects. This knowledge would be helpful in judiciously analyzing a proposal before processing loans for the bank’s customers.

After completion of the training, IRIS-Corp’s Field Assessor conducted an assessment of learning via an offline theory test. He also shared his past experiences in the field with the participants. Field Assessor shared feedback of the training and assessment with SBI senior management. SPOC of SCGJ made a surprise visit to the training venue on the day of the assessment. He was impressed with the arrangements, training plan, content quality, range of topics covered, and the expertise of Field Assessor. SPOC praised IRIS-Corp for smooth execution of the given mandate. IRIS-Corp completed this activity in time and shared the results with the respective AB for further processing and action.

Training at Muthoot Fincorp Limited

IRIS-Corp, along with BFSI Sector Skill Council, trained and assessed 1500 employees in the months of July and August, 2019 under “Recognition of Prior Learning-4 (RPL.4) best in class employers” in the states of Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Delhi and Gujarat. RPL is a platform that provides recognition to informal learning or learning through work enabling such learning to get equal acceptance as formal education. It aims at appreciation of prior learning irrespective of the medium of learning. In short, RPL assesses and provides valuation of an individual’s prior learning as an outcome rather than a process. IRIS-Corp performed RPL for the job role of Loan Processing Officer at Muthoot Fincorp Ltd. The exercise involved Collecting data of the participants, Delivering relevant training, Registering the participants on Skill Development Management System (SDMS), Conducting assessments, and Uploading results.

The objective of the training was to make the employees of Muthoot Fincorp well versed with several aspects of the company’s business - Sales, Marketing, Types of customers, Financial products such as Types of loans etc. Our trainers involved the participants in various activities to explain the content in a practical and easy-to-understand manner. After completion of training, Trainer and Admin Support conducted Theory Assessment of the participants. IRIS-Corp completed this activity in time and shared the results with the respective AB for further process.

Assessment of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) on behalf of Rubber Skill Development Council (RSDC)

Tapping of rubber is a highly skilled job. Currently, there is a wide gap between actual production and production potential of Natural Rubber. This is attributed to shortage of skilled personnel for tapping coupled with the skill gaps in the available tappers.

Majority of the rubber units in the country are in the MSME sector. RSDC has launched a major effort towards upskilling and reskilling of workforce employed in rubber industries across the country under PMKVY scheme. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills are also assessed and certified under RPL.

Skill development aimed at productivity enhancement will lead to improved resource efficiency and increased farm income.

IRIS-Corp partnered with Rubber Skill Development Council to conduct assessments under RPL Project for 300+ candidates on 7th February, 2019 and 27th February, 2019 in the states of Nagaland, Tripura, and Kerala. RPL Project focuses on according candidates credit for skill, knowledge, and experience gained through working and learning.

IRIS-Corp, in coordination with RSDC, envisaged and executed a process flow to effectively assess those who work in this sector.

  • Companies nominated candidates for RPL assessments and shared details with RSDC, which, in turn, handed it over to IRIS-Corp.
  • IRIS-Corp conducted assessments in batches of 25-30 candidates each through an approved Field Assessor for the Job Role of “Latex Harvest Technician”.
  • Assessment included online Theory test followed by Practical & Viva.
  • Results were compiled and shared on a real-time basis with RSDC.

Pilot project of “Arogya Mitra” by Healthcare Sector Skill Council(HSSC)

Arogya Mitra project, under the aegis of Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY), aims to improve access to quality in-patient care and day care surgeries for the poor and vulnerable through a network of Empanelled Health Care Providers.

Trained and certified Arogya Mitras will act as facilitators in empanelled hospitals to provide support in beneficiary verification, authentication, query management, grievance redressal, and handling emergency cases. Arogya Mitras will be the backbone of the scheme as they are comprehensively trained in software use, patient registration and interaction.

Health care Sector Skill Council invited IRIS-Corp to create assessment module, engage qualified Field Assessor, and conduct assessments for certification of Arogya Mitra candidates. Assessment was conducted on 13th April, 2019 in Bhopal,Lucknow, and Mandi. A total of 116 participants were assessed.

Pre Assessment planning included:

  • Identifying Field Assessor
  • Giving orientation to Field Assessor regarding the event
  • Preparing online test for candidates whose data was shared by HAB
  • Sharing assessment link with Field Assessor as well as HAB

Post Assessment planning included:

  • Declaring result within 3 days of assessment
  • Submitting all photographs and videos captured during assessment to HAB.

Centrally Sponsored Scheme for Vocationalization of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education under NSQF (CSS for VHSE under NSQF)

IRIS-Corp along with Telecom Sector Skill Council and Electronics Sector Skill Council has assessed 2465 students of secondary and higher secondary education under CSS-VHSE scheme in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh, and Himachal Pradesh. The objective of the scheme is to (i) enhance employability of youth through demand-driven, competency-based, modular vocational courses (ii) maintain competitiveness through provisions of multi-entry, multi-exit learning opportunities and vertical mobility/ interchangeability in qualifications (iii) close the gap between being educated and being employable (iv) reduce school dropout rate at secondary level.

With the objective of training effective Field Assessors for MEPSC, an orientation program was organized in IRIS-Corp premises at Building no. 81, Sector-44, Gurugram.
As many as fourteen Field Assessors from PAN India attended the program. Orientation program included sessions on Skill India, Brief on MEPSC, Role of Field Assessor, Session on Modes of Assessment, and Documentation.
During the program, an inspirational speech on “Our Focus on Work” was delivered by our Director & CEO, Mr. Sanjay Kapoor. While presenting the critical analysis, he highlighted the prerequisites of the ideal Field Assessor.
Our General Manager, Mr. Sachin Chawla, followed by Mr. Anoop Sharma, and Ms. Archana Sharma, shared detailed information and procedures about - Our expectations as a Field Assessor, Guidelines of MEPSC to be followed during assessment, Modes of assessment, Qualification Pack, Marking scheme to be followed while assessing the candidates during assessment.
The orientation program was enlightening and logical. It gave the participants clarity and motivation towards their Job Role.

Assessment of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) of Hydrochlorofluorocarbons Phase Out Management Plan (HPMP)

IRIS-Corp has joined hands with Electronics Sector Skill Council to upgrade and upskill Air Conditioner technicians under RPL Project. Individuals with prior knowledge, experience, and/or skills are assessed and certified under HPMP-RPL Project. The objective of the project is to provide training on “good service practices” to air-conditioner technicians, most of whom lack formal training.
IRIS-Corp assessed 1100 candidates in the month of January, 965 candidates in February, and 620 in March throughout Delhi, Punjab, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Odisha, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and West Bengal.
IRIS-Corp deployed 15 certified Field Assessors to successfully assess all candidates for the Job Role - Field Technician (Air Conditioner).

Training of Field Assessor Program

IRIS-Corp organized a Training of Field Assessor Program in coordination with Healthcare Sector Skill Council in our office premises. Doctors and nurses from different states of India who wished to get certified by Healthcare Sector Skill Council participated in the training program.
Our certified Field Assessor, Ms. Parul Thakkar trained the participants over four successive days from 5th Jan, 2019 to 10th Jan, 2019. After completion of training, all participants underwent two days of assessment on Domain Skills and Platform Skills.
Job Role of participants - General Duty Assistant, Home Health Aide, Frontline Health Worker, Diabetic Educator, and Phlebotomy Technician.
